Charles University in Prague (Univerzita Karlova) has launched the tender "SYNERGYS Project: Long Lead Items (LLI), Wellhead and Frac Tree Systems". The notice was dispatched on 29 September 2026 and published on 1 October in the Official Journal of the EU (OJ S 190/2026, number 674260-2026).
Subject of the contract
The contract covers the delivery of items with long manufacturing times: wellheads and frac trees, together with rental of the tools needed to install them and the installation services. According to the notice, they are needed for the SYNERGYS project, which involves deep geothermal drilling. The place of performance is the Ústí nad Labem region (Ústecký kraj, NUTS CZ042).
The project "SYNERGYS: Systems for Energy Synergies" (registration no. CZ.10.02.01/00/22_002/0000172) receives co-financing from the Just Transition Operational Programme. The main CPV code is 43612400 (wellheads), with additional codes 43612700, 43612000 and 43130000 (drilling equipment).
Value, criteria and deadlines
The estimated contract value is CZK 9,800,000 excluding VAT. The procedure is open and based on Directive 2014/24/EU and Czech Act No. 134/2016 Sb. on public procurement, and the contract is covered by the Government Procurement Agreement (GPA). Bids are scored on price (weight 80) and the technical quality of the proposed solution (weight 20).
The agreement is expected to run for about 11 months, with the detailed timetable given in the draft agreement in Part 3 of the tender documents. Bids in English are submitted electronically via the tenderarena.cz platform by 10:00 (UTC+1) on 5 November 2026. They must remain valid for 6 months, and variant bids are not accepted.
